The secondary dipstick is based on Walter's original design and is made to indicate the level near the top of the factory check hole. Is is made from heavy-gage stainless-steel wire.

With the bike on the centerstand, remove the secondary fill plug and insert the dipstick till the flat portion rests on the top of the secondary case. When removed, gear oil on dipstick end indicates that unit is full. Gear oil level should be checked when unit is cool and, if checked when hot, level will show higher than actual.
