Checking/Greasing the Rear Wheel Bearings on the Cavalcade - Page 3

Pack the bearing with wheel bearing grease. Use your finger and work the grease into the bearing rollers fully.

Install a new seal and grease the inside of it.

Grease the splines of the drive hub.

Now would be a good time to clean and grease the ball bearing also. This shows the old grease that's been in there for 20+ years.

Wash the old grease out with brake cleaner, blow it dry and repack it with wheel bearing grease.

Drive it back into the wheel. The seal goes to the outside.

Slide the new spacer (or the old one if it was still good) into the needle bearing.

This shows the new spacer completely inserted. The wheel is how ready to reinstall.
